Even More Undignified Than This

Updated: Jan 24

‘I will dance, I will sing’, was quite a hit in Churches during the 1990’s. The origin of the song coming from 2 Samuel 6:22. The verse suggests that we should get beyond our embarrassment, and whole heartedly worship God in an unfettered way. Who cares what people think? Who cares what we think of ourselves? Just worship, and when you are finished, worship Him some more.

We can be under so much pressure in life, that in our personal time with God, it’s good to just let rip. In reckless abandon, in the armchair of God’s grace, to just let go and worship Him the way we want to and the way we feel He deserves to be praised.

Worship is an act of creativity, humility and servanthood. Take time out and do something different today. Book an appointment between yourself and God and be free to worship Him.

Quote

Sometimes our worship is the thing that will just get us through.

Prayer

Father, thank You I can come to You in prayer, even if I’m dancing, thank You that You receive me Lord, Amen.

Action Point

Make an appointment with a worship CD, take an hour out, sing along dance and enjoy a fresh time with God.
