Cast Your Nets Once More

Updated: Jan 25

Albert Einstein once said, ‘The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result’.

Luke 5:4-5 says, ‘When Jesus had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Take the boat into deep water, and put your nets in the water to catch some fish.” Simon answered, “Master, we worked hard all night trying to catch fish, and we caught nothing. But you say to put the nets in the water, so I will.”’.

The difference here is having a clear word from Jesus. Life is not always clear cut and easy, it’s sometimes exhausting and confusing. The key to breakthrough is, obeying the word of the Lord. When He said to lower the nets, there was a miracle reason for that. If there is no word, change your direction, if there is a word, act on it; look what happened when the disciples did.

Quote When you have a word from God, act on it, immediately.

Prayer Lord, thank you that you speak to me, help me listen, obey, and act, in your name, Amen.

Action point

Never give up on the lost, pray, find a way to communicate Jesus to them.
