Strikes And More Strikes

It’s been such a long time since the UK was paralysed by strikes. It’s all the more poignant when health workers, who sacrificed so much through the Covid Pandemic, participate. Train drivers, fire fighters and many others who strike, face the same cost of living crisis and inflation as all of us. The difference is many of them risked their lives to take care of us.
My prayer is Romans 2:6 which says ‘God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”’ (NIV)
When essential services are disrupted, it’s easy to feel frustrated by the impact on any one of us. Yet, the workers are ordinary people who are trying to make ends meet. If we could add our weight in prayer to find a resolution to the strikes, we would at least be a hidden blessing to millions of workers, who are struggling at this time.
Quote
Prayer can touch any aspect of society, don’t be shy, pray!
Prayer
Lord, help the strikers get a fair deal for their work and sacrifice. Amen.
Action Point Don’t be afraid to tell your local councillor or MP of your concern for those who take care of us.
