The Most Important Thing Is Time

What is the best use of our time? It's a commodity that we expend just a little more of each day, eventually making the days ahead of us less than the days behind us. Time is unforgiving, and always unrelenting.

Ephesians 5:15-16 says ‘Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.’ (ESV)

Once a year around Christmas I often reflect on the year just passed to see if there were things I needed to change for the year to come. Learning from mistakes made and constantly trying to better serve in God’s Kingdom. There may only be one or two things that get tweaked, however year on year, a lot of improvement is made. I always seem to want to pray and study the Bible more than I did the year before.

The best use of time is to pray, study and be close to Jesus.

Prayer

Lord, help me use my time wisely, that I may know You more. Amen.

Action Point

Write a list of the things you do which are pointless and then seek to change that.
