Baptism

Updated: Feb 11

My own baptism wasn’t in a heated water tank, but in a freezing cold river in a small village called Pelenna, in South Wales. We even had to make a little damn the day before. Eight of us got baptised that Easter Sunday.

The experience was amazing. Hundreds of people came out to see our outward confession of our inward conviction. Baptism really fired us up to walk forward in our faith and become a living instrument in God’s hand. Acts 22:16 says ‘And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptised, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.’ (NKJV)

If you or someone around you has never been baptised, go see if you can, you won’t regret it. Something happens in that moment, where you cast off the concerns of the world and embrace the potential of God inside you - it’s awesome!

Quote

Prayer

Lord, I pray that people in my church who are not yet baptised, would be. Amen.

Action Point

When you see your church leader next, encourage them to hold a baptism service.
