When God Takes Notice

Updated: Feb 11

Does God take notice of the time taken watching TV? Or our nice homes, jobs, social media accounts? Is He impressed by our titles, contacts, even our ability? The answer very gently put is no.

When you scan through the Bible, there are indicators of what catches God’s attention; when we take care of the widows and the poor; when we look after children who can’t defend themselves. Submitting in obedience to Him, praying and seeking His face more than we seek the world around us. This is what pleases God.

Matthew 28:19 says ‘Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit’. (NKJV) It is most likely God takes most notice of this. A disciple of Jesus will instinctively do what His Father takes notice of. Let’s do that very well.

Quote

Disciples of Jesus instinctively do things that God is interested in.

Prayer

God, help me not to be distracted and help me focus on the things close to Your heart. Amen.

Action Point

Weigh up the trivial things you might be doing and sacrifice them on the alter of pointless. Embrace and spend your time on things that God is interested in.
