Being Ahead Of The Curve

My grandfather always said to me, ‘Go the extra mile’. Absolutely do what you say, do it on time, and if you can’t do something, be honest about why. Most people are busy with work or their daily routine. Our diligence in doing things well is rewarding, but nothing quite like doing one or two other things to get us ahead of the curve for tomorrow. There is something about that which is so satisfying.

Proverbs 21:5 says, ‘The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.’ (ESV)

Doing more than expected will give you a deep sense of satisfaction and brighten the day of the person or ministry you are serving. No one is asking you to kill yourself on the altar of ministry; focus on the one thing which will help bless those around you in their endeavour.
