Overcoming Fear

Fear is one of the biggest challenges to our Christian walk. When in the mindset of fear, faith must arise. It’s been said that fear means (F)alse (E)vidence (A)ppearing (R)eal. Fear is the cancer of the soul. Fear paralysis us into the abyss of surrender. We must not give in to it.

Deuteronomy 31:6 says, ‘Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.’ (ESV)

Let faith arise. Stop and consider how the enemy plays into your fears and how circumstances can push you into fear. Focus on faith beyond that—the faith to go through the eye of the storm. Faith is from God; fear is from satan, don’t succumb to fear; embrace faith at every opportunity. God is with you.

Lord, help me remain in faith. Teach me Your ways, Lord. Amen.
