Good Sleep

Updated: Feb 17

Waking up refreshed in the morning feels great. Not having a good night's sleep can make the day quite challenging. Forty per cent of people are sleep deprived, and one in 5 can’t get to sleep even when they try. You can, of course, do what sleep scientists suggest. Wind down, no devices before bed, keep cool at night, don’t drink alcohol before sleep etc.

John 14:27 says, ‘Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.’ (NKJV)

When we give our worries to God and ask Him to intervene, that stress no longer interferes with our sleep, and we can embrace God’s peace and sleep well. We must remember to bring our problems to God and let Him help us if we can’t help ourselves.

Quote Good sleep will help your mood, energy and outlook.

Prayer

Lord, help me to bring the worries of the day to You. Amen.

Action Point

You should try to wind down at least an hour before bed, then hand over to God the worries of the day. You will experience better sleep.
