Becoming What You Want to Be

Updated: Feb 17

There is an irony in breaking free from difficult past circumstances. In a weird way, because we don’t know the future, our instinct can deceive us into thinking that past difficulty is normal and that we should accept them. Making decisions that will lead to big changes for a better life takes guts. If you are sure, you should be determined to follow through.

Romans 8:37 says, ‘Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.’ (NKJV)

In Christ, we can embrace a new lifestyle, a renewed mind, a heart of faith and determination. We have to trust in God to fill in for our weaknesses. Becoming what we want and intend to be is a journey, not an event, so never be dismayed; keep going until you get there. Trusting in God at each step will help you focus on the goal.

Quote Setting a major life goal is a journey with Jesus, not an event of circumstance.

Prayer

Lord, help me to embrace my future with hope and joy, lead and guide me, I pray. Amen.

Action Point

When you make big decisions, don’t rush, be prayerful and break the decision down into smaller pieces and then get to work.
