Having The Compassion Jesus Had

Updated: Feb 17

Jesus Christ is the ultimate embodiment of compassion. A deep, selfless concern marked his life on Earth for the suffering and needs of others. In Matthew 9:36, we read, "When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." (NIV) This verse reflects Jesus' heart for people - He noticed their suffering and was moved to action.

To have the compassion Jesus had means to look beyond our interests and step into the shoes of those suffering, disadvantaged, or in need. It implies showing others kindness, understanding, and love, just as Jesus did.

As followers of Christ, we are called to display His compassionate nature in our everyday lives. This requires asking God to soften our hearts, make us more receptive to needs, and give us the strength and wisdom to respond in love and kindness as we serve.

Quote The compassion of Jesus is something everyone should live up to.
