Times When You Don't Apologise

There are times when taking a stance, even if it's unpopular or misunderstood, is essential. It isn't about being stubborn, but about adhering to principles and convictions, especially when they are aligned with God's word. In such instances, offering an apology might not be necessary, or right.

Consider Acts 4:19-20 (ESV) where Peter and John, after being ordered by the Jewish leaders not to speak or teach in the name of Jesus, respond: "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard." They chose God's command over social pressures, without apology.

This passage reminds us that when we act in accordance with our faith and truth, it is not always required, or even appropriate, to apologise for those convictions, even if they challenge opinions or traditions.
