Eleanor Roosevelt's remark, "A woman is like a teabag. You never know how strong she is until you put her in hot water," brilliantly captures her resilience and strength, especially when faced with adversity. Throughout history and even biblical times, women have exhibited extraordinary fortitude, turning to prayer as their cornerstone during trials.
One notable biblical account is that of Hannah, who faced immense societal pressure due to her inability to conceive. In her distress, she fervently prayed, pouring out her heart to the Lord. 1 Samuel 1:27 (NIV) later records her saying, "I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him." Hannah's persistent faith and prayer resulted in the birth of Samuel, a prophet who played a pivotal role in history.
Intertwined with their inherent strength, women's prayers have repeatedly proven to be a formidable force, leading to triumphs amidst adversity.
Quote Never underestimate the prayer and determination of a woman.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the women around me who are so faithful and determined for your Kingdom. Amen.
Action Point
Time to buy a thank you card, flowers or a meal for the lady who has helped you most recently.
