Confidence can carry you through all sorts of hurdles in life. Hebrews 10:35 (NASB) says, "Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward."
Throwing away your confidence is like chucking your lifeline overboard in a storm. It might feel good for a moment, a sort of defiance against the waves crashing over you. Yet what you've done is discard the very thing that you needed for navigating life's choppy waters. The older you get you more shaky you can feel about life events, remember God’s confidence never ages, so rely on Him.
Keeping a firm grip on your confidence ensures that when the storm passes, and it will pass; you’ll still be standing, ready to collect that "great reward" that this verse talks about. When you've got a deep-rooted confidence, you're not just bolstered by your own abilities but also by your faith in God.
Quote Confidence in Christ makes a way through any storm life throws at you.
Prayer
Thank you Father for the confidence You bring into my life. Amen.
Action Point
It’s always worth thinking when you face difficulty, “what would Jesus do right now?”
