In a world that often measures worth by material success or social standing, it's easy to feel inadequate. However, the Apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 2:10 (ESV), "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." This scripture assures us that our worth is intrinsic, stemming from our identity as children of God, and is not dependent on worldly achievements.
Understanding our God-given value offers profound implications for how we live. When we realise that God's love secures our worth, we're free to pursue a life of purpose, unburdened by the need for validation., we can focus on an eternal perspective of life.
That perspective nourishes our souls and gives weight to our actions. In grasping our eternal worth, we find the value that rust nor moth can destroy, that God loves and people appreciate.
Quote Your value is not based on what you do, but on who you are.
Prayer
Thank You, Lord, that I can find my value in you. Amen.
Action Point
Think about how God values you. Work on making that your focus.
