Smiling Again

Updated: Feb 17

Losing a loved one can knock the wind out of you. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (TLB) reads, "What a wonderful God we have—he is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials."

Gathering yourself after a loss is like piecing together a puzzle, one bit at a time. Smiling, laughing, and finding joy again is okay. It's not a betrayal of their memory; it's a celebration of the love and happiness you shared. The person you've lost would most likely want you to seize the life ahead of you, not just endure it.

Feeling guilty is common, but don't let it hinder you. Remember, you've got the ultimate Comforter by your side. Allow yourself to be helped by God. After all, that's what your loved one would want for you.

Quote

Love never fades; Love will always endure.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being nearby, my life-long trusted friend.

Action Point

Remember the good times, and use those great memories as strength for the future.
