The Big Bang

Updated: Feb 18

The origins of the universe. A topic of wonder. Scientists often talk about the "Big Bang" as the beginning of everything. But what or who set off that colossal explosion? A fascinating angle to consider is the very first verse in the Bible, Genesis 1:1 (NCV), which states, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

There are hundreds of billions of galaxies, each containing billions of stars if we pause and consider that "something" rather than "nothing" sparked this mind-boggling cosmos, the answers for the “Big Bang” point to God.

God didn't create something out of nothing; everything originated from Him. He's the ultimate "Something," the source that gave rise to all that exists. All of this helps us to understand God’s power and creativity. What a staggering thought, and if that doesn't give you a sense of awe and wonder, I'm not sure what will!

Quote
