Good Manners Cost Nothing

Updated: Feb 18

Colossians 4:6 (AMP) says, "Let your speech at all times be gracious and pleasant, seasoned with salt, so that you may never be at a loss to know how you should respond to anyone."

Expressing good manners doesn't require grand gestures or significant effort; often, small acts of politeness, respect, and consideration leave a lasting impact. A simple 'please' or 'thank you', holding a door open, or offering a smile can brighten someone's day and create a ripple of positivity. These are acts of blessing and should never be underestimated.

Good manners foster a culture of respect and kindness, making interactions more pleasant and uplifting. In a world where harsh words and rude behaviour are all too common, choosing to engage with others courteously and respectfully is a quiet yet powerful testimony to the grace and love we are called to exhibit, particularly when we are representatives of Jesus.

Quote

Treat people how you would like to be treated, with respect.

Prayer

Help me, Lord, to always consider how I act and react to people. Amen.

Action Point

Spend a day intentionally saying please and thank you and being positive to everyone.
