Knowledge Speaks - Wisdom Listens

There's a distinct difference between knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge often rushes to speak, eager to display understanding or information. It's driven by the desire to inform or impress, leading to quick responses that may not consider the context or the feelings of others. In contrast, wisdom embodies a measured approach, valuing listening and understanding before responding.

James 1:19 (NIV) says, "Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry." Listening is a fundamental component of wise communication, allowing us to fully comprehend the situation and the perspectives of others before we articulate our response.

By listening first, we consider our words carefully, ensuring they are kind, empathetic, and constructive. This approach doesn't diminish the value of knowledge but rather enhances it, framing it within the context of understanding and empathy. Also, mirror the wisdom valued in the Scriptures, fostering informative, uplifting, and edifying communication.
