Atheism

Updated: Feb 19

In addressing the complex topic of atheism, it's essential to acknowledge the diversity of thought in our world. Professor Stephen Hawking once described religion as "a fairytale for those afraid of the dark." Professor John Lennox, a mathematician and philosopher of science, offered a contrasting viewpoint: "Atheism is a fairytale for those afraid of the light."

A dialogue between faith and reason, highlighting that belief in God can coexist with intellectual inquiry and scientific understanding.

The Bible speaks to this dialogue in Psalm 14:1, "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.'" (NCV). A foundational truth that enlightens every aspect of life, even in the face of mystery and the unknown. As believers, it is through faith that we find the courage to explore the depths of both the seen and the unseen world, confident in the knowledge that there is light even in the darkest places.

Quote

Atheism is a fairytale for those afraid of the light.

Prayer

Lord, would You reveal Yourself to those who have never known You. Amen.

Action Point
