Incrementalism

Updated: Feb 20

Incrementalism is a gradual approach to change, mirroring the biblical principles of steady growth and patient endurance. Zechariah 4:10 (NIV) reminds us, "Who dares despise the day of small things?" This question encourages us to value our lives in small, incremental steps, recognising that each contributes to God's bigger picture.

You must remain patient and persistent, even when progress seems slow. This teaches us the importance of consistency and resilience, which are vital for deep, lasting change. A precept upon precept approach.

Incorporating incrementalism into our lives means setting realistic goals, celebrating small victories, and acknowledging that every step forward is a step towards God's ultimate plan for us. This method makes our aspirations more tangible and less daunting. As we move forward, bit by bit, we build a solid foundation of faith, character, and understanding, enabling us to handle more significant challenges and opportunities with grace and confidence.

Quote

Persistence is likely to be the thing that propels any vision.

Prayer

Lord, help me to be determined to stay the course. Amen.
