It's important to remember that just as we don't give birth to adults, children must navigate life to grow and develop. They require patience and guidance rather than stern judgment. The Bible gently encourages us in this approach, as Ephesians 6:4 (NCV) noted: “….do not make your children angry, but raise them with the training and teaching of the Lord."
This scripture directly addresses the relationship between adults and children, emphasising the importance of nurturing them according to Christian principles. It reminds us that our role is to correct and foster growth and learning through a supportive and understanding approach - praise God.
With patience and kindness, often not reacting but responding, we act as models of Christian virtues, helping children to mature into responsible and considerate adults. This approach not only aids their development but also aligns with our spiritual mandate to reflect God's love in all our relationships.
