In One Accord

Updated: Feb 21

Being in one accord means coming together in unity, sharing a common purpose and spirit. The disciples experienced this at Pentecost, when they gathered with one heart and mind, waiting for the promise Jesus had given them.

The Bible describes this moment in Acts 2:1 (GNT): "When the day of Pentecost came, all the believers were gathered together in one place." This brilliant unity was crucial. It prepared them to receive the Holy Spirit, empowering them to speak in different languages and share the gospel with people worldwide. Their togetherness and shared faith enabled them to witness and understand God’s miraculous work.

Today, being in one accord can help us navigate challenges and embrace God’s plans. When we unite with shared purpose and unity, we create an environment where God’s Spirit can move powerfully among us. Like the disciples, we can experience amazing things together in faith and love.
