Growing In Courage

Updated: Feb 22

Growing in courage is much like nurturing a plant; it requires patience, care, and persistence. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you stop to look fear in the face."

Our lives indeed shrink or expand in proportion to our courage. When we avoid taking risks or shy away from challenges, our world becomes smaller, and our experiences are limited. Remember that courage doesn't mean the absence of fear but rather the decision to act in faith regardless. This often leads to discovering our true potential within life’s opportunities.

Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) says, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." With faith and courage, we can overcome any obstacle, and our lives will expand in ways we never imagined.

Quote

Courage is not the absence of fear; it is the presence of faith.

Prayer

Father, teach me how to build my faith and courage I pray. Amen.

Action Point

What are you afraid of in life? Why not break each thing down and apply faith to them?
