Jehovah-Shammah

Updated: Feb 23

Jehovah-Shammah, meaning "The Lord is there," is a mighty name of God found in Ezekiel 48:35. It speaks of God's presence with His people, a promise that no matter where we are or what we face, God is always near. For Christians, this is a profoundly comforting truth—God is not distant or far off but intimately involved in our lives, guiding, protecting, and loving us.

In our daily walk, the knowledge that Jehovah-Shammah is with us gives us courage and peace. We can face uncertainties, challenges, and even suffering, knowing we are never alone. As Psalm 46:1 reminds us, "God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble" (CSB). His presence always sustains us.

Living with the awareness of Jehovah-Shammah calls us to trust Him more fully. In every situation, we can rest assured that the Lord is already there.

Quote

God is there when you are happy, sad, tired, encouraged or in need.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for always being there for me no matter the situation. Amen.

Action Point

Consider when God has been there in your life; take an hour and thank God.
