Maintaining a healthy weight is crucial for long-term well-being, especially as we grow older. It is not just about appearance but ensuring that we care for the body God has entrusted to us. Good decisions start with self-discipline, including wise choices supporting physical health. By caring for ourselves, we set an example for those around us, showing that stewardship extends to how we treat our bodies.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us: “You should know that your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit, who is in you. You have received the Holy Spirit from God. So you do not belong to yourselves, because you were bought by God for a price. So honour God with your bodies” (NCV).
Watching our weight, exercising, and eating well contribute to healthier ageing and reduce the risk of chronic health issues, allowing us to serve God and others with energy and longevity.
