01048 - Holy Communion

Holy Communion is not a ritual—it’s a sacred moment of remembrance. When we break bread and drink the cup, we are reminded of Christ’s sacrifice and the depth of His love. It’s an invitation to draw close, to examine our hearts, and to receive again the grace that flows from the cross.

1 Corinthians 11:26 says, “For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes” (NIV). Communion is both personal and communal. It connects us to Jesus and to each other, uniting us as one body with a shared hope and a living Saviour.

Never forget communion was a signpost at the Last Supper of the fate yet pending return of Jesus. Let’s not rush this holy act. Each time we take communion, may we do so with awe, gratitude, and a deep awareness of what Jesus has done.
