01559 - It’s OK To Say No
Many people believe saying yes to everything is a sign of kindness, but wisdom often requires a different response. Sometimes, saying no protects your spiritual life, guards your peace, and keeps your heart focused on God's purpose. Every opportunity is not necessarily God's assignment, and every request does not deserve your agreement.
Jesus Himself stepped away from demanding crowds to spend time with His Father. He never allowed pressure or expectation to dictate His priorities. When your decisions are shaped by prayer rather than guilt, you discover the freedom to honour God without constantly seeking the approval of others or fearing disappointment.
Proverbs 4:23 (GNT) says, “Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.” A spiritually healthy no often creates space for a wholehearted yes to God's will. Protect your heart, trust His leading, and walk confidently in the path He has prepared for you.
Quote
