01596 - Sunday
Sunday is a treasured rhythm for believers across generations. It invites us to pause from relentless activity and gather with God's people in worship, prayer, fellowship, and the teaching of Scripture. Every Lord's Day reminds us that Christ deserves our first attention, deepest affection, joyful praise, and wholehearted devotion.
Throughout history, Christians have honoured Sunday because Jesus rose victorious on the first day of the week. Gathering together strengthens faith, encourages weary hearts, renews vision, and sends us back into the world carrying His hope, compassion, courage, truth, and love for everyone we meet during the coming week ahead.
Hebrews 10:24,25 says (NASB) “and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds.” Honour the Lord's Day with expectation because God still meets His people together, strengthens their witness, refreshes their spirits, and prepares them for faithful service throughout every new week in His strength.
