Anointing Oil

Anointing oil may seem simple, but it carries deep spiritual meaning. In Scripture, oil represents God’s presence, His setting apart, and His gentle empowerment. It reminds us that God works through ordinary things to release extraordinary grace. When oil is used in faith, it points beyond itself to the work of the Holy Spirit.
There is something prophetic about anointing. It declares that a person or moment belongs to God. Oil does not create calling, but it recognises what God has already chosen. When we anoint in prayer, we are saying that healing, commissioning, and restoration come from the Lord, not from human effort or ability.
The Bible shares with us, “You anointed my head with oil; my cup is overflowing” (Psalm 23:5 GNT). God anoints not sparingly, but generously. His presence brings peace, confidence, and abundance. Where God anoints, He also sustains and strengthens for the journey ahead.
