Being Authentic

Faith is not performance—it’s relationship. To walk authentically with Christ means showing up as your true self, not the decorated version. The world is filled with noise and filtered images, but real faith doesn’t need to pretend. Paul encouraged the Romans, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2, NIV). The mind is something we have to take control of. True transformation starts when we stop imitating and start abiding.
Authentic faith trusts God with our questions, our weaknesses, and even our failures. It doesn’t mean we’re perfect—it means we’re real, rooted in Christ, and not ashamed of our journey. When others see honesty, they see hope. Authenticity may be the key that unlocks someone else’s faith.
So be bold enough to be real. God can use the raw and unfiltered to reveal His glory.
