In the book of Daniel, Daniel and his friends were exiles in a foreign land, surrounded by rulers and cultures that did not honour God. Yet in every challenge, they chose to remain steadfast. Their courage was not born of circumstance but of conviction, rooted in their unwavering trust in the Lord.
Daniel’s faith in the lion’s den and the faith of his friends in the fiery furnace reveal that true belief does not bend when tested. They were willing to stand firm even at the risk of their lives, declaring that God was able to deliver them. Faith in Daniel’s story is not passive; it is active, resilient, and bold in the face of danger.
The Bible says, “But the people who know their God will be strong and will resist him” (Daniel 11:32 NLT). Faith anchored in God gives strength to endure and courage to overcome circumstances.
