Books Of The Bible : Ecclesiastes

The book of Ecclesiastes reads like a mirror held up to the human soul—honest, searching, and at times unsettling. Its wisdom doesn’t come from denying life’s hardships but from confronting them. In its refrain, “Meaningless! Meaningless! Everything is meaningless,” we’re not drawn into despair but invited to seek meaning beyond the temporary. Faith is found when we realise that under the sun, all things fade, but under God, all things hold purpose.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 brings clarity: “Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind” (NIV). In this, we find a grounded, enduring faith—a call to live with reverence, not resignation.

Ecclesiastes teaches us that faith doesn’t ignore the hard questions; it clings to God through them. Reading the book for yourself, this book asks questions only God can answer.
