Communion

Communion honours the member and current action of a living Jesus. As we break the bread and drink from the cup, we remember the body that was broken for us and the blood that was poured out for the forgiveness of sins. In this holy act, we declare again the central truth of the gospel: Jesus died and rose so that we might live.
Communion is also an invitation to fellowship with Christ and with one another. At the Lord’s Table, divisions melt away, and we are united as one body. It is a place of humility where we examine our hearts, a place of renewal where we receive grace, and a place of hope where we proclaim His return.
Scripture reminds us, “Do this in remembrance of Me” (Luke 22:19 NASB). Every time we partake, we affirm that our lives belong to Him who gave everything for us.
