Days Of Awe

There are moments in life that hush the noise—times of encounter when we’re awestruck by the majesty of God. The Jewish tradition speaks of the "Days of Awe" between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur as a time of reflection, repentance and reverence. As Christians, we, too, need such moments—pauses in the calendar where we fall to our knees and remember who He is.
Awe is not fear as the world defines it. It’s a reverent, soul-deep realisation of God's holiness and mercy. Psalm 33:8 (NIV) declares, “Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him.” Days of awe sharpen our perspective, reminding us that God is not small, and we are not the centre of the story.
In awe, we find clarity. In reverence, we rediscover purpose. Make space to stand in wonder again. Be in awe of God today!
Quote
Awe doesn’t shrink us; it enlarges our view of God.
Prayer
Lord, restore my reverence and deepen my wonder of You. Amen.
Action Point
