Diminished Capacity

In our fast-paced world, we often overlook those who now move slower, think longer, or require help with tasks they once mastered. Whether through age, illness, or unexpected loss, diminished capacity does not lessen someone’s unique worth. Scripture reminds us, “Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble” (Isaiah 35:3, NASB). God’s call is not to rush ahead but to walk with others at their pace, extending grace in every step.

Jesus consistently slowed for the marginalised. He noticed the blind, the lame, the outcast. He gave His time with compassion. We mirror Christ not by our speed but by our sensitivity. Taking time is not wasted time when it is used to lift another. Even small acts—a phone call, a steadying hand, or simply listening—can carry the fragrance of heaven.

May we never be too busy to care. Real love takes time, and that time is holy.
