Don’t Look Back

Sometimes God calls you forward, yet something within you wants to look back. The past can feel safe, even when it wasn’t good for you. But faith is not built by returning to what was. It grows when you trust God enough to keep moving into what He is unfolding ahead.
The story of Lot’s wife carries a strong and prophetic warning. She was brought out of danger, yet her heart remained tied to what she left behind. In one moment of looking back, she lost the future God was leading her into. Jesus later reminds us, “Remember Lot’s wife” (Luke 17:32 MSG). This is not just history. It is instruction.
There is a grace in moving forward. God does not call you out only to leave you uncertain. He leads with purpose. When you fix your eyes ahead, you begin to walk into the life He has prepared.
Quote
Forward faith breaks the hold of yesterday.
Prayer
Lord, help me release the past and walk confidently into what You have ahead. Amen.
Action Point
Let go of one thing from your past today and choose to focus on what God is doing next.
