Eat, Sleep, Work, Repeat

Updated: Feb 4

It’s easy to slip into a rut and feel that you are living life like a hamster running on a little wheel. Covid in particular increased that sense as so many of our activities were curtailed. Colossians 3:23 says ‘And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men’. (NKJV)

Even when things feel mundane, you can find new purpose in them, try new kinds of food, approach your work as if you are doing it for God. Volunteer for something, knowing that God inspired it.

Sometimes we need to exercise faith to get us through the mundane, seeking help from God to do the things we need to get done. Seasons in life will always change, circumstances will change, jobs and volunteerism might also eventually change. God will however always remain the same. Isn’t that encouraging that we can totally depend on Him.

Quote

Finding God in the middle of the mundane is an act of Faith.

Prayer

Lord help me break free of the boring and mundane to find you wherever I look, Amen.

Action Point It’s always good to share with a Christian friend how you feel and pray together, you will feel lifted immediately afterward.
