Forgiveness is not just a noble act of compassion. It is a command, a key to the kingdom's operation, and a reflection of the King Himself. Jesus taught us that unforgiveness clogs the flow of grace, while forgiveness opens the gates of mercy. “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you” (Matthew 6:14, NKJV). In a kingdom defined by love, forgiveness is not optional; it is essential.
To forgive is to mirror Christ, who pardoned us not because we deserved it but because He chose to. Each act of forgiveness becomes a testimony of the Gospel we claim to believe. Forgiveness never says the wrong was correct. It declares that mercy triumphs over judgment and that the past will no longer define our future.
Lay down the heavy load. Forgive as Christ forgave you, and you also find freedom and everything works out.
