Giving Yourself A Talking To

Sometimes the most powerful conversation you can have is the one you have with yourself. Life can be discouraging, and when the world’s noise grows louder, your own voice needs to speak life back into your soul. “Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become restless and disturbed within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him…” (Psalm 42:5, AMP). The psalmist didn’t wait for others to lift him—he spoke directly to his own heart.
There’s nothing wrong with reminding yourself of truth. Faith doesn’t deny the struggle; it defies its power. Speak words of life, not defeat. Tell your soul to hope again, believe again, stand again. God is still with you.
So today, don’t just listen to your feelings—lead them. Speak hope. Declare faith. Remind yourself who you are in Christ.
