His Resurrection, Your Freedom

Early on the first day of the week, grief turned to astonishment. The stone was rolled away, and the tomb was empty. Mary Magdalene and the other women came expecting to clean up a corpse but instead encountered angels proclaiming the unthinkable—“He is not here; He has risen!” Word spread quickly. Peter ran to see for himself. Confusion became conviction. Despair became hope.

Luke 24:6 tells us, “He is not here; he has risen from the dead. Do you remember what he told you in Galilee?” (NCV). The resurrection wasn’t a surprise to heaven—Jesus had spoken of it all along. And in that moment, eternal freedom broke through. Sin lost its grip. Death was defeated. A new future was born—for them, and for us.

His sacrifice made a way for our eternity. Jesus rose so that we might live—truly live—in freedom, now and forevermore.

Quote

The empty tomb is the doorway to eternal freedom.

Prayer
