Jesus Wept

Two words—Jesus wept—holds huge meaning. The shortest verse in the Bible shows us the depth of Christ’s compassion. Jesus wept not because He lacked power to raise Lazarus, but because He felt the pain of human sorrow. He entered ultimately endured this pain for us, our loss, and our tears. He grieved with those who grieved. What an extraordinary Saviour—one who could command life itself, yet chose to stand alongside us in our brokenness. That shows two things, his love and his leadership, helping us to understand the life we live.

John 11:35 simply says, “Jesus wept” (MSG). These words echo with comfort: He understands us fully. He is not distant from our emotions, but present in our struggles, sharing every hurt and every heartbreak.

If you find yourself weeping today, know this: you do not cry alone. Christ weeps with you—and hope stands ready.

Quote

Tears are not signs of weakness, but bridges to the heart of God.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for weeping with me and lifting me toward hope. Amen.

Action Point
