Leadership Is Servanthood

In the Kingdom of God, leadership is not measured by power or position but by servanthood. Jesus knelt with a towel and washed the feet of His disciples. This act redefined greatness. In Matthew 23:11 (AMP), Jesus said, “But the greatest among you will be your servant.” True leadership begins not from the head but from the heart. It chooses humility over hierarchy, compassion over control.
To lead is to lift others. Whether in church, community or home, we are called to serve with grace, wisdom and kindness. Leadership in God's view is not self-promotion but self-sacrifice. It is not about being seen, but about seeing others — their need, their worth and their potential. The servant leader does not seek applause but seeks to obey the One who called them.
Let your leadership reflect the heart of Christ. To serve is to lead, and to lead is to serve.
