Make Way For The King

Historically, when a king approached, the people would prepare the road, clear the rubble and decorate the path. It was not just a ritual. It was an expression of honour. In our modern lives, do we make such intentional space for Christ our King? Scripture says, “Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight” (Mark 1:3, AMP). This echoes not just in deserts but in our daily decisions, our homes, our calendars and our hearts.
We clutter our souls with anxiety, busyness and distraction. Yet, when we clear space, when we yield and submit, Christ comes near in power and peace. Making way for the King is about choosing His presence over pressure, His voice over noise and His truth over opinion.
Let us ask ourselves today, where does He still need room? The King is not a visitor. He is Lord. Let every moment reflect that.
