Missionary Or Mercenary

There comes a moment when each believer must answer this question: Am I living like a missionary or a mercenary? The missionary gives, loves, and serves without needing reward, driven by the call of Christ. The mercenary, in contrast, serves only when there's something to gain, their loyalty swayed by personal gain rather than eternal purpose.
Jesus said, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21, NKJV). If our treasure is found in heaven, our mission becomes about people, not possessions, titles or power. We reflect Christ not by hoarding influence, but by pouring ourselves out for others. In a world that glorifies selfish ambition, Christ calls us to live selflessly, boldly, and joyfully for His Kingdom.
Ask yourself today—are you building a name or building the Kingdom? The fruit of your life will reveal where your heart truly lies, think about that.
Quote
