O For A Thousand Tongues To Sing

This hymn by Charles Wesley was written from a moment of deep spiritual awakening. Wesley wrote it to celebrate the transforming grace of Christ in his own life. The words carry a longing that one voice is not enough to express the greatness of God. It is a call to multiplied praise, rising from a heart that has encountered redemption.
Across generations, this hymn continues to speak. Its message is not confined to history. It invites every believer to rediscover the wonder of salvation and to let that joy overflow. Praise becomes more than music. It becomes testimony, declaring what God has done and who He is today. When voices unite in worship, faith is strengthened and hope is renewed.
Scripture echoes this spirit, “Let everything that breathes praise the Lord. Hallelujah!” (Psalm 150:6 CSB). Praise is not limited by number. It is multiplied by hearts set on Him.
Quote

Prayer
Lord, fill my heart with praise that reflects Your greatness each day. Amen.
