Righteous Indignation

Righteous indignation is not rage for rage’s sake—it is a holy response that burns against injustice and defends what honours God. It’s the kind of anger Jesus showed when He overturned the tables in the temple, not out of pride, but passion for purity. There are times when staying silent is not wisdom, but compromise. Faith sometimes requires us to speak with courage and act with conviction.

Ephesians 4:26 says, “Be angry, and do not sin: do not let the sun go down on your wrath” (NKJV). The Word makes clear—anger is not the enemy; unrighteous anger is. Righteous indignation must be rooted in love, truth, and a desire to restore, not to destroy.

Use your voice not to echo noise, but to reflect the heart of God for justice, mercy, and truth. Once you have steered the difficult situation to God, ultimately focus on His love.

Quote
