Sacrifice Is The Seed Of Progress

Every step of progress carries the weight of sacrifice. Nothing of eternal value is gained without first laying something down. To sacrifice is not to lose, but to invest in a greater purpose. When we willingly give up comfort, time, or resources for God’s kingdom, we plant seeds that grow into lasting fruit.

Jesus revealed this principle when He spoke of the grain of wheat that must fall into the ground and die to produce much fruit. The cross itself was the most outstanding example: through Christ’s sacrifice, salvation blossomed for all humanity. Our sacrifices may be small in comparison, but they too carry power when offered in obedience and love.

The Word declares, “Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship” (Romans 12:1 NASB).
