Sitting Close

There is something sacred about simply sitting close to those we love. We do not always need many words. Presence alone can bring comfort, strength, and peace. God designed us for relationships, and moments of closeness remind us that we were never meant to walk through life alone. When we sit close with family or friends, we share more than space; we share life.

Sitting close teaches us the value of slowing down. In a world that rushes, relationships grow quietly. A comforting hand, a shared silence, a gentle smile can speak louder than speeches. These moments nourish the heart and deepen bonds. The love we show in small ways reflects the heart of Christ.

The Bible says, “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honour” (Romans 12:10 ESV). When we sit close, we honour those God has placed in our lives. Think about that.
