Situation Verses Destination

Sometimes we mistake our situation for our destination. Life may currently feel like a wilderness—dry, uncertain, even discouraging. But God never meant for the valley to be your final destination. As Psalm 84:5 says, “Happy are those whose strength comes from the Lord, who want to travel to Jerusalem.” (NCV). This verse speaks of joy not in the arrival, but in the journey, because the direction is set by God Himself. The journey of life is precious.
Your reality is not your eternal reality. You might be facing illness, unemployment, or rejection—but those are chapters, not the conclusion. God is more interested in where you're going than where you've been. His promise is not just about endurance, but transformation along the way.
So, lift your eyes beyond the situation. Faith focuses forward. Let your heart be anchored in the destination that God has prepared—and keep walking.
Quote
You are not stuck; you are on your way.
Prayer
Lord, help me walk by faith and not be defined by today. Amen.
